Has it set any codes? And did you remove any of the new plugs to verify that it wasn’t dumping fuel?

Yes it did but it’s obd1 so it’s hard to to pull codes. I lost my plug socket though. I’m suspecting a clogged cat since it’s rattles while the car bogs down

Fuel pressure regulator?

Already swapped out, no change

There’s gotta be a way to access the codes by using a jumper wire or something. I just hate jumping to conclusions until hearing what the OBD and the spark plugs have to say.
The flooding bothers me, and I’m not 100% convinced that it was just from cycling the key forward to prime the system. But for what it’s worth, I’m not really familiar with Volvos.

Yeah I thought it was kinda fishy, but maybe if an injector was leaking right? This is my first turbo car by the way

Yeah, that’s one of the things that came to mind... But, again, I don’t want to jump to conclusions, and I’m sure you don’t want to throw parts at it either. A fuel pressure test might be in order...

I’m definitely going to to do that soon

brand new plugs are fouled already...

Fouled as in running rich, or are they wet too?

Running rich as hell, and very gassy smelling

Any luck with codes yet?

its showing a CEL but not throwing any codes.. I did run a diagnostic test just before the battery died and verified the throttle positiion switch is inpop

Ah-ha! That sounds promising...
I’m not sure what a CEL without codes is supposed to indicate, though. You might want to remove that battery to reset things, and take that opportunity to fully charge the battery before reconnecting.

Yeah I feel you man. Im going to replace the plugs, and it should run, albeit perhaps like crap, and just go from there
